What is a Thailand volunteer signup app?

HappyToVolunteer is a Thailand volunteer signup app for local NGO shifts. You create a free account, choose a date, and check in with a QR code. LINE reminders are optional. It runs in the phone browser. It is not a host-stay travel app.

How does the signup app work?

  1. 1

    Register

Email and password, or Google. It takes a minute. There is no placement fee.

  2. 2

    Browse

Open organisations and events. Filter by cause or province, anywhere in Thailand.

  3. 3

    Book or cancel

Take a spot while it is open. Cancel before the deadline if you cannot come.

  4. 4

    Show up

LINE can remind you. The organisation scans your QR code to mark attendance.

Why do Thai NGOs use it?

The same app is how a small team stops chasing volunteers one message at a time.

A public booking page
People take a spot against a headcount, instead of commenting on a post.
LINE, on the organisation’s schedule
Confirmations and reminders go out without someone typing them the night before.
Hours that are already counted
QR check-in records attendance. Certificates and funder reports come from that record.
Tools beyond the roster
Shops, donated goods, donors, and delivery routes live in the same account.

What else should I know?

Is there a mobile app to install?

You use it in the browser on your phone. Add it to your home screen if you want. Booking, LINE, and the QR code all work from there.

Is it free?

Yes for volunteers. Organisations start with a review and a trial, then a monthly plan if they want the roster tools.

Does it work outside Bangkok?

Yes. Organisations publish in the province where they work. The Thailand guide explains how to look beyond Bangkok.
