Fire at Klongthom Center, Bangkok
A new blaze broke out at Klongthom Center, a popular Bangkok market, on Saturday afternoon. Governor Chadchart Sittipunt said the fire-hit market centre cannot be saved. Toxic smoke poses a serious risk to nearby areas. No registered relief organisations have submitted appeals yet. We are monitoring this incident and will list responders as they reach out.

Khlong Toey, Bangkok
Khlong Toey Wooden House Community Fire
Approximately 20 homes were lost in a fire that swept through the Wooden House Community near Khlong Toey Youth Center. The tightly packed wooden homes allowed the fire to spread extremely quickly. Khlong Toey firefighting volunteers arrived just 6 minutes after the first call, but communities like this can disappear in less than an hour. Thankfully, only 4 people suffered minor injuries. Several animals are still missing. This community suffered another major fire just last year.
